Location:
This area on the main entrance to the Golan Heights surrounds the Junction connecting Highway 91 to Road 888. The Junction divides the area into 3 slices: The Northern section on which a beautiful hotel is now being built on the Bauhaus remains of a French Costumes House, The South East and South West sections include remains of Old Syrian Posts.
Total size of the Site – 260,000 m².
Background:
This area was extremely sensitive as in 1973 an unintentional blast in one of the bunkers has taken the lives of 11 IDF soldiers from the 1st “Golani” Brigade which were clearing and sweeping the abandoned Bunkers. Surrounding these bunkers was a 360° A.P mine field.
Mission:
On 100,000 m² BAC operations were conducted on old Military posts and bunkers. The bunkers were swept thoroughly to assure they were not bobby trapped. Surrounding these posts 160,000 m² of A.P mines required Demining operations
SOPs:
Technical Surveys, Manual Clearance by means of metal detectors and Large Loop detectors, Mechanical Clearance.

In total over 6 Months of operation spread from 2017-2019

Thousands of PMD-6 A.P mines and dozens of various field ammunition UXOs.
