Location:
The Golan Heights near the small village of Kala Beruchim. Total size of the Site – 220,000 m².
Background:
This area consisted of abandoned Syrian military posts surrounded by Minefields. The Clearance of this area has enabled the small village of Kala to expand into what in 2019 was announced as a new locality in the Golan Heights called the Trump Heights in honor of P.O.T.U.S Donald J. Trump.
Mission:
On some 90,000 m² 2 abandoned Syrian posts were located and BAC operations were carried out retrieving dozens of UXOs. Surrounding the abandoned posts were 130,000 m² of Syrian laid A.P and Bouncing Mines.
SOPs:
Technical Surveys, Manual clearance by means of metal detectors and Large Loop detectors, NONEL time-interval mine in situ detonations.
Duration:
3 Months of operation in 2017.
Ammunitions:
Over 750 AP Mines – POMZ2M, PPMISR, Smine35 and additionally over 90 various field UXOs, including aerial cargo ammunitions.
